I was initially drawn to yoga purely for the physical benefits. As an avid runner I wanted the strength and flexibility that yoga can offer. I soon became drawn to spending more time on my mat to explore the connection between my mind and my body and realized how much potential there was within yoga to create positive change not only in how I moved but also in how I thought.
As an instructor I encourage my students to be okay with where they are at but not afraid to step outside their comfort zone and try something new. In my classes I strive to create a safe, fun and supportive space. And I work to get my students to know that with discipline and commitment they are capable of more.
